Roald Dahl Day

On Monday 26th September the children and staff of Bridport Primary School celebrated Roald Dahl’s 100 years in style with a dress up day involving lots of themed activities. Each year group chose a different book to focus on:

  • Reception looked at Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
  • Year 1 - The Enormous Crocodile
  • Year 2 – The Twits
  • Year 3 – Danny Champion of the World
  • Year 4- George’s Marvellous Medicine
  • Year 5 – The BFG
  • Year 6 – Revolting Rhymes.

English lead, Sophie Cooper said “it is a great opportunity to explore these fabulous books with our pupils and inspire in them the love of reading – a life long skill we value highly at Bridport Primary School.” Prizes were won for the best costumes and everyone had a brilliant day learning more about these timeless, engaging stories.
