Key Stage 2 Results

Bridport Primary School are very pleased with their results in 2017.  This year group was below the national average in terms of their ability but they achieved in line with the national average in all subjects.  The number of children achieving at the higher level was well above the national average. Pupils made expected progress in line with their previous attainment at KS1.

Progress in writing has improved significantly and the school is now ranked in the top 25% of schools in this. In the other two subjects progress is broadly in line with the national average and improving.

Key Stage 1

Results were also strong and improving at KS1 and in Phonics.

At KS1 Reading is above the national, Maths in line and writing is below but has improved significantly from 2016.

Phonics has risen over the last three year to now be well above the national.  This is a real success story for the school.
Results at BPS are improving and there is a strong drive in the school to continue to improve. The school aims to be in the top 30% of schools nationally.
